1st Battalion MCRD Platoon 1022.
When I graduated from Communication School as a Field Radio Operator I was awarded the top 10% student in my class so I was awarded my choice of duty stations.
My choice of duty stations was 3rd Battalion 3rd Marine Corp Division Kaneohe Bay Hawaii on the island of Oahu.
While in Hawaii, I was assigned to 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines Division we were T.A.D. ( Temporary Assigned Duty ) With Naval Ships that were stationed at Pearl Harbor. We did 2 back to back six month deployments.
I served on the following ships
I traveled to such places as but not limited to Hong Kong, Australia, Philippines, Korea, Okinawa Japan, Sasebo Japan, Iwo Jima etc.
While on these deployments I engaged in many Military Operations to sharpen my skills as a U.S. Marine to include but not limited to such operations as " Operation Team Spirit" in Korea as well as many other operations.
In my first three years in the U.S. Marines I was promoted to the rank of Corporal ( E-4) I earned Corporal from a Meritorious Promotion
March 1984 My three year enlistment contract had come to an end and I was Honorably Discharged.
I returned home to Flagler Beach Fla.
